Sutphen Corporation Receives a 14-Apparatus Order from the Orlando (FL) Fire Department

DUBLIN, OHIO – Sutphen Corporation, the largest family-owned fire apparatus manufacturer in the nation, recently received a 14-apparatus order from the Orlando Fire Department.
The recently ordered apparatus include 10 custom pumpers, three SPH 100 mid-mount aerial platforms and an SLTDA 105, the department’s first tractor drawn aerial.
“Sutphen Corporation is proud to work with the Orlando Fire Department and continue a partnership dating back to the 1960s,” said Zach Rudy, Sutphen’s director of sales and marketing. “These 14 new units are unique apparatus that will help the Orlando Fire Department serve the citizens of Orlando.”
Each apparatus was specifically designed for the Orlando Fire Department and its unique Central Florida firefighting needs.
Features of the 10 custom pumpers will include:
- Sutphen, Extreme-Duty Monarch Custom Chassis
- Nearly 220 cu. ft. of Compartment Space
- 750-Gallon Water Tank
- 1,500 GPM Pump
Features of the three SPH 100 mid-mount aerial platforms will include:
- Sutphen, Extreme-Duty Monarch Custom Chassis
- Over 330 cu. ft. of Compartment Space
- 300-Gallon Water Tank
- 1,500 GPM Pump
Features of the one SLTDA 105 tractor drawn aerial will include:
- Sutphen, Extreme-Duty Monarch Custom Chassis
- Nearly 555 cu. ft. of Compartment
- 256 Feet of Ground Ladders
- 2,000 GPM Monitor
The order was facilitated by Sutphen Corporation’s Florida dealer, South Florida Emergency Vehicles.
